MONTE VISTA
A 35-acre development of 96 single-family lots incorporating the construction and improvement of one mile of County right-of-way. The scope of work included the clearing, grading, installation of 43,000 lineal feet of municipal service piping, construction of a sewer pump station, and all surface improvements. The project was built between April 2002 and June 2003 in Snohomish County at a cost of $5.1 million.
Spotlight
Design / build/ approval construction process.
Problem
To prevent delay of plat recording, the project required construction of a mile of privately funded county road without county approved plans in order to provide timely access for the adjacent plat.
Solution
Sajasa partnered with the developer, consultants, Snohomish County and utility districts to develop mutually acceptable construction designs and procedures to allow work through both summer and wet season construction periods.
Results
When completed, the road extension was accepted as-built and allowed plat recording on time.
